After entering the international charts with their Virgin debut Somewhere Far Beyond (1992), Blind Guardian took their first trip to Japan to record their first live album, Tokyo Tales which was issued in 1993. Playing two sold-out audiences to over 4,000 enthused fans, the show captured how strong, special, and symbiotic the relationship between artist and audience can be.
